The Complete Guide to Park Marine Hotel in Incheon, South Korea: Breakfast, Kids Cafe, Pool, and More

by Lulu1004 2023. 6. 15.

1. Incheon Parkmarine Hotel Location

It's only one street over from Soraepo area, so it's very accessible even for those who don't use a car. If you do use a car, you can definitely use the mechanical parking lot inside Park Marine Hotel or the outside parking lot, which is a 2-minute walk away. I parked in the mechanical parking lot because it's much more convenient and there's peace of mind about protecting my car. The 3rd floor has various facilities, and the 4th to 10th floors are rooms.

2. Family Twin Room Introduction

I booked a "family twin" room and was assigned to the 6th floor. The room is very clean and uncluttered. It has one twin bed and one single bed, so it can accommodate up to 3 people. I was worried about the cleanliness of the room, but we were lucky and didn't find any clumpy dust. However, there were some food spillage marks on the bed sheets, which was a bit annoying. It didn't seem to come out even after washing, so we just covered it up and moved on. There is a fridge that can hold a few large items, and there are 3 bottles of water inside. For coffee, there is Lucas coffee, but me and my mom drink coffee at the cafe on the first floor, so I don't know how it tastes. So, let's move on to the bathroom.

The bathroom is a bit larger than the room size. There was a separate bathtub, shower, and toilet, so it wasn't a problem at all. Toothbrush, razor, hairbrush, and cotton swabs were provided. The amenities weren't that great. I use any body wash, but I'm sensitive to shampoo and conditioner, so I brought my own.

3. Breakfast

Breakfast is a one-word description: just sleep more. There's really nothing to eat, not even the usual fried eggs, just white rice and miso soup and a few side dishes, all of which were factory-built bulk side dishes. It was the first time in my life that I realized that cereal can be tasteless, and the bread was the same old, nameless, bulk toast bread from the supermarket. When we ran out of bread and someone asked for a refill, the guy sighed heavily and pulled a piece of bread from the bottom of the table that had been left in a plastic bag. The fruit consisted of one frozen fruit, some canned fruit, and some fruit-flavored jelly. It was a low-quality breakfast filled with cheap food.

4. Facilities

The rooftop pool and kids' cafe were the top reasons we chose this hotel. The rooftop pool is heated and the water temperature is just right, so it's a great place to hang out. The kids' cafe is a little more photogenic, but there's not much to do there, just jumping jacks. The kids cafe was not an inviting place. The rooftop pool was fine for families, but the area isn't very spacious, so if you're over 10, you're probably just soaking in it like a bathtub.

5. My personal experience

It's right next to the subway station and a 5 minute walk from Soraepogu. I think the location is very good, with restaurants and convenience stores in Jicheon, but there are also a lot of harmful facilities. Even though it was a weekday, there were some drunk people making loud noises in the evening, so you could hear them even if you were in the room. The bathroom and room were hotel quality, but the rest were motel quality. All the staff have a "don't talk to me, I'm working!" vibe, especially the cleaning staff, who push their carts into customers as they walk by, and the hallways are so narrow that you have to practically crumple your body to get past them. They work so hard in the early morning hours that it's become an automatic wake-up call. We had a long stay, so they cleaned the room, but they just sprayed the floor with detergent and left and asked us to clean it again. I wouldn't recommend this hotel in Incheon.
